Movie Monster Comparison Chart

Sizes of movie monsters compared. I thought they missed out The Blob though. The Blob got pretty big towards the end.

what about the giant tit from “Everything you always wanted to know about sex, but were afraid to ask?”

Do you have one for movie robots? Especially fun would be a way to differentiate between “Big Brother”-style brains (The Sphere, Big Brother, HAL, TOBOR) to mechanical mobiles (Screamers, “Robot” from TV’s Lost in Space and the newer one from the Movie) to computer agile (think Tron’s CPU, Lawnmower Man, Max Headroom, The Matrix’s CPU), and actual vs. prop borrowing (as in TOBOR’s assistant robot from T.O.B.O.R. started “life” as Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet – neither related other than through their real-world build). And are StarWars’ metaclorians(sp) nano-robots?

Best movie monster is Jaws. Hands down. No contest. No other monster still scares people today the same it did 30+ years ago, if only because Jaws is the only monster that is tangible. Somewhere on this planet he exists. That is always in the back of your mind when your swimming pretty much anywhere not in a pool.
