Help – If the world was 100 people…
If England was 100 people… / If the US was 100 people…
14 SEP 09 Don’t know if you saw the “If Twitter was 100 people” image. I’m looking to do another one but looking at the populations of the UK and the US.
Can you help me dig up any interesting stats?
For instance:
: 3% of the UK population is Muslims (Times)
: 34% of the US adult population suffer from obesity (CDC)
Here’s a good tip. Targeting searches to specific sites works really well:
: percent population US site:times.co.uk
: “of the US population” site:guardian.co.uk
And so on, swapping in your favourite mass media digital news outlet.
Here’s a spreadsheet to place your finds.
IMPORTANT: Please remember to paste in the source URL where you found the information.
Oh and please leave your name in the credits field if you want a credit.
Much obliged. David
